Robert Axelrod (born May 29, 1949 – died September 7, 2019) was an American actor. He was also known as Axel Roberts and Myron Mensah. Robert Axelrod was famous for his voice acting.

He voiced many characters in English versions of anime shows. Some of his most well-known roles include:

He also acted in live-action roles. He played a doctor named Jennings in the movie The Blob. He even played someone who looked like Paul McCartney on the TV show Family Matters. Later, he worked with the comedy duo Tim & Eric.

About Robert Axelrod

Robert Axelrod was born and grew up in New York City. He loved entertaining people from a very young age. He started acting in commercials and plays when he was a child.

In the early 1970s, he worked as a full-time guitarist. Then, in 1980, he began his career in voice acting. His first voice role was in Banner the Squirrel. He kept performing on stage over the years. In 1983, he starred in a rock play called All the Difference.

In 1984, he started working for Saban Entertainment. He did voice-over work and wrote for shows like Wowser and Hallo Spencer. His agency, Mobile Monicker Productions, said that he voiced over 150 characters during his career.

His Passing

Robert Axelrod passed away in Los Angeles on September 7, 2019. He was 70 years old. He had health problems after having spinal surgery in 2018. He is remembered by his sister.
