He came into the game as an "18th man" or concussion replacement. This means he could play if a teammate got a head injury. He played for 12 minutes. Later that year, Xavier got a shoulder injury. The 2023 Season
The 2023 NRL season was tough for Xavier. In March, it was announced that he had broken his jaw. This injury kept him from playing for more than four weeks. Because of this, he only played one game for the Canberra Raiders that year.
