Early Life
Brandon Curtis King was born on April 10, 2007, in Gifford, Florida. After his music career became successful, he decided to focus on it instead of finishing high school.
Music Career
Brandon King began making music in 2018. He appeared on several songs with his brother YNW Melly and other artists. He remembers making up rhymes during lunch in 7th grade. During a school break, his brother YNW Melly told him he would stop paying for his V-Bucks in the game Fortnite if he didn't come to a recording studio. This encouraged him to start recording his own music.
In May 2019, at the Rolling Loud Miami Festival, rapper Yung Bans invited YNW BSlime to perform a song. In July 2019, he released his first song called "Hot Sauce." DJ Chose produced this track.
In November 2019, YNW BSlime released his album Baby Goat. This album featured other American rappers like Lil Tjay and YNW Melly. A year later, in November 2020, he released the song "Nightmares" with rapper Trippie Redd. A music video came out with the song.
In February 2021, he released two more songs: "Valenslime" and "OTW." In October 2021, he worked with American rapper NLE Choppa on a song called "Citi Trends."
In January 2022, YNW BSlime was featured on the song "Left Me" by singer and rapper Kidd G. This song was special because it mixed rap music with country music. He also worked with rapper YBT Anubis on a song. Later in 2022, he released "The Mob," which included YNW Melly, Trippie Redd, and YNW Bortlen.
In October 2022, he released new songs like "Keep Trying" with BabyTron and "Going Through Some Things." In 2023, he released "I Got A Bag" featuring Hotboii, "Case Closed," and "Vulnerable."
In 2024, YNW BSlime appeared on four songs from YNW Melly's album "Young New Wave." These songs were "Top Off," "772 Love Pt. 3," "Save me," and "Vile." In September 2024, he released his second studio album, titled "Selfless."
Musical Style
YNW BSlime's music style has been described by music critics. Alphonse Pierre from Pitchfork said that YNW BSlime's singing sounds similar to his brother's style. He noted that YNW BSlime's raps are "brighter" and more cheerful. Steve Juon from Rap Reviews also mentioned that his style is similar to artists like Juice WRLD and Future. In an interview, YNW BSlime shared that his biggest musical inspirations are Travis Scott, XXXTentacion, and his older brother YNW Melly.
