Where the Yawarrawarrka Lived
The Yawarrawarrka people lived in a large area of land. A researcher named Norman Tindale estimated their traditional lands covered about 5,600 square miles (14,500 square kilometers).
Their country was north of Cooper Creek. It stretched up to places like Haddon Downs, Cordillo Downs, and Cadelga. To the east, their land included sandhills near Goyder Lagoon and went towards Arrabury. Their southeastern border was close to Innamincka. However, another group, the Ngurawola people, also had claims to this area.
