Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz (born 25 January 1958) is a Mexican politician. Her birth name was Citlali Ibáñez Camacho. She was the General Secretary of the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) from 2017 to 2020.
Before joining MORENA, she was a candidate for governor of the State of Mexico in 2005. She also served as a senator for the State of Mexico from 2006 to 2012.

Early Life and Name Change
Yeidckol Polevnsky was born Citlali Ibáñez Camacho in Mexico City. Her parents were Guillermina Camacho Amezcua and Colonel Cuitláhuac Ibáñez Treviño. Her parents separated when she was very young.
In 2005, Polevnsky explained that her name was changed due to family reasons. She stated that her current last name, Polevnsky, is of Polish origin.
Professional Career
Yeidckol Polevnsky studied psychology at the Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City. She worked in various roles within the Cámara Nacional de la Industria de la Transformación (CANACINTRA). This is a national chamber for manufacturing industries in Mexico.
In 2002, she became the first woman president of CANACINTRA. This was an important step in her career.
Political Career
Early Political Steps
In 2005, Yeidckol Polevnsky became a candidate for governor of the State of Mexico. She ran for the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). She lost the election to Enrique Peña Nieto. He later became the President of Mexico.
In the 2006 general election, she supported Andrés Manuel López Obrador for president. She was elected to the Senate that year. She represented the State of Mexico until 2012.
Joining MORENA
In 2014, she left the PRD party. She then joined the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA). In 2015, she ran for mayor of Naucalpan, a city in the State of Mexico.
On 20 November 2015, she was elected as the General Secretary of MORENA. She became the President of MORENA on 12 December 2017. This happened after Andrés Manuel López Obrador left the role. He became the party's candidate for president.
Polevnsky also served in the Chamber of Deputies. She resigned from this position on 16 June 2023. She did this to seek the party's nomination for the 2024 presidential election.
