Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr is a high school in Cardiff, Wales. It's a Welsh-medium school, which means most lessons are taught in Welsh.

The school first opened its doors in September 1998. It was the second school of its kind in Cardiff. The buildings where it is located used to be Waterhall Secondary Modern School. Later, they were part of Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf's Lower School. The current headteacher is Dr Rhodri Thomas.

Where Students Come From

Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr welcomes students from a large area in western Cardiff. This includes many different communities. Some of these areas are Culverhouse Cross, Ely, Caerau, and Grangetown. Students also come from Butetown, Riverside (like Pontcanna), Canton, and Fairwater (including Pentrebane). Other areas include Llandaff, Radyr, Creigiau, Pentyrch, and Gwaelod-y-Garth.
