Yury Aleksandrovich Gazinsky (Russian: Юрий Александрович Газинский; born on July 20, 1989) is a Russian professional footballer. He plays as a defensive midfielder. This means he helps protect his team's goal. Gazinsky has played for several clubs in Russia. He has also represented his country on the national team.

Playing for Krasnodar
In May 2013, Gazinsky joined Krasnodar. He played for this club for nine years. He left Krasnodar in May 2022 when his contract ended.
Time at Ural Yekaterinburg
On August 17, 2022, Gazinsky signed a two-year contract with Ural Yekaterinburg. He played there until June 2024. His contract with Ural also ended at that time.
Return to Krasnodar
On July 10, 2024, Gazinsky went back to Krasnodar. He signed a contract for one season. He left Krasnodar again on May 27, 2025.

Yury Gazinsky was first called to play for the Russia national football team in August 2015. This was for important matches to qualify for the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament. He played his first game for Russia on August 31, 2016. It was a friendly match against Turkey.
2018 FIFA World Cup
Gazinsky was chosen for Russia's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This big tournament was held in Russia. On June 14, 2018, he scored the very first goal of the 2018 World Cup. This happened in the 12th minute of the opening match against Saudi Arabia. Russia won that game with a score of 5–0. He helped his team reach the quarterfinals of the tournament.
