Zeina Yazigi's Journey in Journalism

Zeina Yazigi was born on April 2, 1975, in a city called Latakia in Syria. Her father was a doctor, and her mother studied in Paris. Zeina went to Tishreen University in Latakia, where she studied English Literature. She also earned a degree in media from the Lebanese American University.

Starting Her Career

Zeina began her career working for big news companies like Reuters and the Associated Press in Beirut. These companies collect news from all over the world. After that, she became a reporter for CNBC in Syria.

Moving to Television

Later, Zeina moved to Syrian Television. For about a year and a half, she hosted political shows there. In 2003, she joined Al Arabiya, another major news channel. She was a news anchor and also hosted a weekly political show called Tahta Al-Daw, which means Under the Light.

In 2011, Zeina left Al Arabiya because of the events happening in Syria at the time. She then joined Dubai TV. There, she created and hosted a political talk show called The Arab Street. After that, she moved to Sky News Arabia, where she hosted another political talk show called Bisaraha, meaning 'Frankly'. She worked there until 2017.
