Zeina Yazigi was born on April 2, 1975. Her hometown is Latakia in Syria. Her dad was a doctor. Her mom studied at a famous university in Paris, France.

Zeina went to Tishreen University in Latakia. There, she earned a degree in English Literature. Later, she studied media at the Lebanese American University. This helped her learn how to work in news.

Starting Her Journalism Journey

Zeina began her career working for big news companies. She worked for Reuters first. Then, she joined the Associated Press in Beirut. After that, she became a reporter for CNBC in Syria.
