Zhao Liying (Chinese: 赵丽颖), also known as Zanilia Zhao, is a famous Chinese actress. She was born on October 16, 1987. Zhao Liying became very well-known for her roles in popular TV shows like Legend of Lu Zhen (2013), The Journey of Flower (2015), and Princess Agents (2017). She has also starred in movies such as Duckweed (2017) and Article 20 (2024).
Zhao has won many awards for her acting. These include the Best Actress award at the Flying Apsaras Awards and Golden Eagle Awards for her performance in the TV series Wild Bloom (2022).

Zhao Liying was born in Langfang, Hebei province, China, on October 16, 1987. She went to the Langfang School of Electronic Information Engineering. This was a special school for professional training.

Starting Her Career (2006–2012)
Zhao Liying began her journey in acting in 2006. She won a competition called the Yahoo Search Star Game. After winning, she signed with a company called Huayi Brothers. Her first acting role was in a family TV show called Golden Marriage in 2007.
In 2009, Zhao acted in her first historical drama, The Firmament of The Pleiades. This show was even shown in Japan and was highly praised. She won an award for Most Popular Actress that year.
She started to become more recognized in China after appearing in The Dream of Red Mansions in 2010. This show was based on a famous Chinese novel. Her popularity grew even more in 2011 when she played Princess Qing'er in New My Fair Princess.
Becoming a Star (2013–2015)
In 2013, Zhao Liying became a big star with the historical drama Legend of Lu Zhen. In this show, she played an ordinary girl who worked hard to become the first female prime minister. The drama was a huge success in China and other countries like South Korea and Japan. This made Zhao very famous. She won several awards for new actors and for being popular.
In 2014, she starred in the romantic comedy Boss & Me. This show was also very popular and had high ratings. Because of her many successful TV shows, Zhao Liying was chosen as the "Golden Eagle Goddess" at a big TV festival in China. She even performed at the opening of the ceremony.
In 2015, Zhao starred in the fantasy romance drama The Journey of Flower. This show was a massive hit in China. It was the first Chinese drama to get over 20 billion views online! In 2016, Zhao Liying starred in the action-adventure drama The Mystic Nine. This show was very popular and had over 10 billion views online. She won the Best Actress award for her role. She also played a main character, Bi Yao, in Noble Aspirations, which was based on a popular novel. This drama had over 23 billion views online, setting a new record at the time.
In 2017, Zhao starred in the movie Duckweed. This movie was a surprise hit and was loved by both critics and audiences. She won her first movie award, the Favorite Actress award, for this film. She also starred in the historical action drama Princess Agents. This show was a huge success both in China and around the world. It became the most-watched Chinese TV series at that time. Zhao Liying's Personal Life
On October 16, 2018, Zhao Liying announced that she had married actor Feng Shaofeng. They shared the happy news on a Chinese social media site called Sina Weibo. On March 8, 2019, they welcomed their son.
However, on April 23, 2021, Zhao and Feng announced that they had divorced. They decided to share custody of their son.
