Zoom the White Dolphin (called Oum le dauphin blanc in France and Iruka to Shōnen in Japan) is a cool animated TV series from 1971. It was created by Vladimir Tarta and directed by René Borg. This show was a team effort between France and Japan, produced by companies like Telcia, Saga Films, and Eiken.
The series first aired in France in 1971. Later, it was shown in Japan in 1975. Many kids around the world also got to watch it! It was broadcast in countries like Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. There was even a special movie version shown on Nickelodeon in the USA.
Meet Zoom and Friends
This exciting TV series follows the adventures of Zoom, a special white dolphin. Zoom lives in a beautiful ocean world with his best friends. These friends are two children who live with their kind sailor uncle.
The show also features other amazing animal characters! There's a smart mynah bird who can understand everyone. This includes dolphins, other animals, and even humans on the island. This bird often helps by translating! You'll also meet a friendly koala and a slow-moving sloth.
During his adventures, Zoom even finds love! He meets a lovely female dolphin named Za-za-zoom. They later have a baby dolphin together.
Zoom's New Adventures
Good news for fans of Zoom! In 2013, some TV companies decided to bring Zoom back. These companies included TF1, Media Valley, and Marzipan Film. They worked with ZDF and TiJi to create a new version.
