Zub is an exciting action game released in 1986. It was made for popular computers like the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. The game was created by Mastertronic. John and Ste Pickford wrote the code for the ZX Spectrum version. Phillip Brian Allsopp worked on the Commodore 64 code. The music for the game was composed by David Whittaker.

Zub's Big Adventure

In the game, you play as Zub, a brave hero working for Emperor Zub. Your main mission is to find a special item called the Green Eye of Zub. This important eye is hidden somewhere far away!

To find the Green Eye, Zub gets to use amazing Ancient Intergalactic Elevators. These elevators can take him to different planets across the galaxy. But reaching them isn't easy! You need to jump and ride on moving platforms. These platforms help Zub climb high into the sky.

Meeting the Zubs

Of course, there are challenges along the way. The platforms and elevators are guarded by creatures. These creatures are also called Zubs, but they are enemies! Each planet has its own unique type of enemy Zub. For example, on the first planet, the Zubs look like spinning gyroscopes. On another planet, they might look like fish!

You can shoot and stun these enemy Zubs. When you stun them, they float up towards the sky. But be careful! They will recover and come back to attack you again.

The Green Eye of Zub is hidden on the tenth planet. Once you find it, your adventure isn't over! You then need to travel all the way back to the first planet. Your goal is to give the Green Eye to Emperor Zub.

Game Difficulty Levels

The game has seven different difficulty levels. As you choose a higher difficulty, more enemy Zubs will appear on each planet. This makes the game more challenging!
