Zumar Lake is a cool lake found in the Kenora District of Ontario, Canada. It's pretty special because it's the starting point for the Ekwan River. This river flows a long way until it reaches James Bay, which is a big body of water connected to Hudson Bay.

The lake itself is about 3.7 kilometers (2.3 miles) long and 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) wide. It sits quite high up, at an elevation of 239 meters (784 feet) above sea level.

Zumar Lake is also close to another important lake called Attawapiskat Lake. Attawapiskat Lake is where the Attawapiskat River begins, and that river also flows into James Bay. So, these two lakes are like neighbors, both feeding important rivers that lead to the same large bay!

Where is Zumar Lake Located?

Zumar Lake is in a part of Canada known as the Kenora District in Ontario. This area is mostly wilderness, with lots of forests, lakes, and rivers. It's a place where nature thrives.

How Big is Zumar Lake?

Zumar Lake isn't one of the biggest lakes in Ontario, but it's still a good size. It stretches for about 3.7 kilometers (2.3 miles) from one end to the other. At its widest point, it measures around 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) across.

What Rivers Connect to Zumar Lake?
