Zurbano, also called Zurbao in the Basque language, is a small village in Spain. It is part of the Arratzua-Ubarrundia area in Álava, which is in the Basque Country region.
The village is located just outside the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz. It is about 6.5 kilometers (4 miles) from the city center. In 2002, Zurbano had a population of 153 people.

Zurbano has many old and interesting buildings. You can find several large palace-houses here. These buildings were built in the 1600s and 1700s. They used to belong to important families like the Basterra, Isunza Otalora, and Iriarte families.
One of the most famous buildings is the Palacio Rural Zurbano. This palace is so important that it has been declared a special monument. Other notable palaces include the Palacio Otalora-Guevara and the Ortiz de Zárate palace. There is also the Casa palacio de Otazu
. The village church, called the Church of St. Stephen, was built a long time ago in the 1400s.What People Do for Work
For a long time, the main way people made a living in Zurbano was by cereal farming. This means they grew crops like wheat and barley.
Today, Zurbano also has a bar and restaurant where people can eat and relax. The village celebrates its main festival on the first weekend of September. This celebration honors San Esteban, which is Saint Stephen.
