Zwevegem is a town in Belgium. It is located in the West Flanders province. This area is in the western part of Belgium.
Zwevegem is not just one town. It is a municipality, which means it includes several smaller towns. These towns are Heestert, Moen, Otegem, Sint-Denijs, and Zwevegem itself.

History and Industry
Zwevegem has an interesting history. It is known for a big company called Bekaert. This company was started in Zwevegem by Baron Leon Leander Bekaert. Bekaert makes steel wire products.
World War I Memorial
During the First World War, many battles took place in Belgium. The Heestert Military Cemetery is in Zwevegem. This cemetery is a special place. It holds the graves of 127 British soldiers. It also has the graves of 57 German soldiers. Most of these soldiers died between October 21 and 25, 1918. They fought in this area during the war.
