History of Zwingle

Zwingle was first settled by people who came from Pennsylvania. The city got its name from Ulrich Zwingli, a famous Swiss reformer.

In 1993, a plane crash happened near Zwingle. George S. Mickelson, who was the Governor of South Dakota, and seven other people died in this accident.
