Åstorp Municipality (which is Åstorps kommun in Swedish) is a local government area in southern Sweden. It is located in Scania County, which is part of the South Sweden region. The main town and administrative center of the municipality is called Åstorp.
The municipality we know today was created in 1974. This happened when the old town of Åstorp joined together with another area called Kvidinge. Before that, Åstorp had been a market town since 1946.
