History of the School
This school is one of the oldest film schools in the world! It started way back in 1926. It was first called l'Ecole Technique de Cinématographie et de Photographie. Important people like Louis Lumière, who helped invent cinema, and Léon Gaumont, a film pioneer, helped create it.
The school was originally located on rue de Vaugirard in Paris. In 2012, it moved to a new, modern home. Its new location is at the Cité du Cinéma in Saint-Denis, a city near Paris.
