Édson Boaro (born July 3, 1959), often called Édson or Édson Abobrão, is a former Brazilian football player. He was a strong defender who played for many famous clubs in Brazil. After his playing career, he became a football coach.

Édson Boaro's Playing Career
Édson Boaro started his professional football journey in 1978. He played as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the other team from scoring goals. He was known for his solid defense and skill on the field.
Club Teams
Édson played for several important clubs during his career.
- He started at Ponte Preta from 1978 to 1984.
- From 1984 to 1989, he played for Corinthians, one of Brazil's biggest clubs. He played 226 games for them and scored 8 goals.
