Marcelo Castelo Veiga (born October 7, 1964 – died December 14, 2020), known as Marcelo Veiga, was a Brazilian professional football manager and player.
About Marcelo Veiga
Marcelo Veiga had a long and exciting career in football. As a player, he was a left-back, which means he played on the left side of the defense. He played for several big teams in Brazil's top league, called Série A. Some of these teams included Santos, Internacional, and Portuguesa. He played professionally for about 17 years!
After his playing days, Marcelo Veiga became a football manager. This means he coached teams. He was especially well-known for his time with Bragantino. He coached Bragantino many times over the years, helping them achieve great things. He also managed other clubs like Botafogo-SP and Remo.
Sadly, Marcelo Veiga passed away on December 14, 2020, at the age of 56. He was in Bragança Paulista, Brazil, and his death was due to complications from COVID-19. At the time, he was the manager of São Bernardo.
