Émile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin (born October 16, 1841 – died 1907) was a talented French sculptor. He lived during a time called the Belle Époque, which means "Beautiful Era" in French. It was a period of peace and prosperity. Guillemin was known for creating beautiful sculptures made of bronze.

He showed his artwork at a very important art show in Paris called the Salon. He exhibited his sculptures there for many years, from 1870 to 1899. In 1897, he received a special award called an "honourable mention" at the Musée du Louvre in Paris. This was a big achievement for an artist.
Famous Works
One of Émile Guillemin's most famous sculptures is called Cavalier Arabe. This means "Arab Horseman." It is a sculpture of a person riding a horse. What makes this piece extra special is that it was signed by two artists: Émile Guillemin himself and another sculptor named Alfred Barye.
