• The First Council of the Lateran was a very important meeting of church leaders in Rome. At this meeting, they officially agreed with the Concordat of Worms. The Council also made a rule that priests should remain celibate, meaning they should not get married.

• In the Middle East, a special agreement called the Pactum Warmundi was made. This deal was between the Republic of Venice, a powerful trading city, and the Kingdom of Jerusalem, which was a state set up by Crusaders. This agreement gave Venice special trading rights and other benefits in the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
