- February 10 – Robert the Bruce had a serious fight with John Comyn inside Greyfriars Church in Dumfries. This fight led to Comyn's death.

- June 19 – The Battle of Methven took place. In this battle, the army led by the Earl of Pembroke defeated Robert the Bruce's Scottish fighters.
