The year 15 AD was a time long ago, in the 1st century. It was a regular year that started on a Tuesday, according to the Julian calendar. Back then, people knew it as the "Year of the Consulship of Caesar and Flaccus." A consulship was when two important Roman leaders, called consuls, were in charge.

Important People and Places
- A man named Valerius Gratus became the Prefect of Judea. A prefect was like a governor, ruling a Roman province.
- A new town called Emona was started. Today, this town is known as Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.
- A Roman army group, Legio XXI Rapax, was placed in a city now called Regensburg in Germany.
Roman Empire Changes
- The Roman general Germanicus fought a tough battle against Arminius in the Teutoburg Forest. Neither side won clearly.
- In Rome, a big change happened. The power to choose people for government jobs moved from the regular citizens to the Emperor and the Senate. The Senate was a group of important Roman leaders.
- A book about the life of Augustus, a famous Roman emperor, was published. It was written by Nicholas of Damascus.
