Abel Ramón Caballero Álvarez (born September 2, 1946) is a Spanish politician and a professor of Economics. Since June 2007, he has been the mayor of Vigo, a large city in Spain. He represents the PSdeG-PSOE political party.
Since September 2015, he has also been the president of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP). This organization helps connect and support cities and towns across Spain.
