Adolfo Morán Ortega (born 1953 – died November 14, 2024) was a talented Spanish architect, a person who designs buildings. He was also a city planner, someone who helps design how cities grow. On top of that, he was a theoretical physicist, studying the basic laws of nature. He even helped start the World Physics Society!
Morán was a professor of architecture at the University of Valladolid. He also taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca. Later, he became a full professor at the Technical University of Madrid. There, he taught about architectural imagination and city design. He also directed a special group that studied housing.
In 1992, his amazing architectural work was chosen as one of the best by the Spanish Architecture Biennial. This is a big event that celebrates great building designs. He also won an award called Gran Vía Posible in Madrid in 2010, along with Joaquin Moran.

Adolfo Morán received several important awards for his work:
- His work was recognized at the II Spanish Architecture Biennial in 1993. It was considered one of the most important Spanish architecture works.
- He won the First Prize Award Gran Vía Posible in Madrid in 2010.
- He received the First Prize for the Eivissa Building in Balearic Islands in 2006.
- He also won the First Prize for the Commissioner Universal Exposition EXPO08 in Zaragoza in 2006.
