Adolphus Fitzgerald Washington Jr. (born November 24, 1994) is a former professional football player. He played as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Washington played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Sports
Adolphus Washington grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went to Roger Bacon High School for his freshman year. Later, he transferred to Robert A. Taft Information Technology High School. There, he played both football and basketball.
Washington was a top football recruit. In his junior year, he made 107 tackles and 19 sacks. As a senior, he had 90 tackles and 23.5 sacks. He decided to play college football at Ohio State University. Washington was also a talented basketball player. In his senior year, he averaged 23.1 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. He was even named the Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year for Ohio. Washington was recognized as an All-American in both football and basketball by Parade Magazine.
College Football Career
Washington played for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2012 to 2015. As a freshman in 2012, he played in 10 games. He recorded nine tackles and three sacks. In 2013, as a sophomore, he played in 12 games and started five. He made 36 tackles and two sacks that year.
During his junior year in 2014, Washington started all 14 games. He had 48 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He helped his team win the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship against Oregon. In that championship game, he contributed three tackles and a sack.

Buffalo Bills Years
In his first year with the Bills in 2016, Washington played in 15 games. He started 11 of those games. He recorded 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks. The next year, in 2017, he started 10 games out of 15 played. He made 33 tackles and one sack. After playing one game in 2018, the Bills released him. He finished his time with the Bills with 3.5 sacks and 56 tackles.
Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals
On September 18, 2018, Washington joined the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys. A week later, on September 26, 2018, the Cincinnati Bengals signed him. He was sidelined due to an injury in November 2018. The Bengals later waived him in April 2019.
Miami Dolphins
On May 23, 2019, Washington signed with the Miami Dolphins. He was waived by the team on September 1, 2019.
