Aechmea dichlamydea is a type of plant known as a bromeliad. Bromeliads are a family of plants that often grow in tropical places. This particular plant is found naturally in Venezuela and in the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. It belongs to the Aechmea group of bromeliads.
Different Kinds of Aechmea dichlamydea
Just like there can be different types of apples (like Fuji or Gala), some plants have slightly different versions called varieties. Scientists have found three main varieties of Aechmea dichlamydea:
