She was part of a theatre group called ”Slingerbultarna” with her friends. They often performed in local shows. Her love for theatre led her to move to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. However, she still visits her hometown sometimes because she feels a strong connection to her roots there.
In 1985, Agneta studied theatre in Stockholm and worked in a cafe. From 1989 to 1991, she moved to Gothenburg. There, she worked with lighting for the Stadsteatern, which is a city theatre.

Hosting Popular Shows
Agneta continued her work in television. She co-presented a travel game show called Jakten på den försvunna diamanten with Bengt Magnusson. This show was also on TV4, but it did not get good reviews and was soon canceled.
Next, she co-hosted Fångarna på fortet with sports star Gunde Svan. This show was filmed at Fort Boyard in France. Swedish celebrities took on different challenges inside the fort's dungeons.
Between 1996 and 1999, Agneta presented Små Stjärnorna and Sikta mot stjärnorna. In the years that followed, she was the host for Gladiatorerna. This was the Swedish version of The Gladiators.
In her role on the show "Saknad," Agneta helped guests reunite with lost relatives. She also helped parents they had not seen for many years. Agneta Sjödin has also hosted the Miss Sweden beauty contest twice.
