Al-Quadin Muhammad (born March 28, 1995) is an American professional football player. He plays as a defensive end for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football at the University of Miami. The New Orleans Saints picked him in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School
Al-Quadin Muhammad grew up in Irvington, New Jersey. He first went to Paterson Catholic High School. After his freshman year, that school closed.
He then moved to Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. There, he became a top-ranked defensive end. Many experts saw him as the best NFL prospect in New Jersey.
College Career at Miami
In 2013, Muhammad decided to play for the University of Miami. During his first year, he played in five games. He made 6 tackles and 2.0 sacks.
He faced a challenge early in his college career. He missed the entire 2014 season due to a university rule. In 2015, he played in 12 games. He finished that season with 54 tackles and 5.0 sacks. Muhammad also missed the 2016 season due to a violation of team rules.

New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints chose Muhammad in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL draft. He was the 196th player picked overall. He played his first game for the Saints in Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season. This game was against the Minnesota Vikings.
On September 1, 2018, the Saints decided to release Muhammad.
Indianapolis Colts (First Time)
The very next day, on September 2, 2018, the Indianapolis Colts picked up Muhammad. He was later released by the Colts on October 4, 2018. However, he was quickly re-signed to their practice squad. He was then moved back to the active roster on October 13, 2018.
Muhammad signed a new contract with the Colts on April 1, 2021.
Chicago Bears
On March 20, 2022, Muhammad signed a two-year contract. This time, he joined the Chicago Bears. He played for the Bears for one season.
He was released by the Bears on February 21, 2023.
Indianapolis Colts (Second Time)
On July 25, 2023, Muhammad signed another one-year contract with the Colts. He was released again on August 29, 2023. He then re-signed to their practice squad. On December 6, 2023, Muhammad faced a suspension from the NFL. This was for six games without pay, due to violating league rules.
Dallas Cowboys
On August 1, 2024, Muhammad signed with the Dallas Cowboys. He was released by the team on August 28, 2024.
Detroit Lions
On October 7, 2024, Muhammad signed with the Detroit Lions practice squad. He was then promoted to the active roster on November 9, 2024.
