Alabama's 5th congressional district is an area in the state of Alabama. People who live here vote to choose a person to represent them. This person works in the United States House of Representatives.
The district includes several counties. These are Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, and most of Jackson. Currently, Mo Brooks represents this district. He is a member of the Republican Party. Brooks was first elected in 2010. He won against Parker Griffith, who had changed from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.
