Alan Dotti's Playing Career

Early Years and Youth Teams

Alan Dotti started his football journey in the youth teams of several clubs. He played for Votuporanguense, Junventus-SP, and Corinthians. These experiences helped him develop his skills as a defender.

Professional Debut and Time in Japan

Dotti began his professional career in 1998 with Rio Claro. The very next year, he moved to Japan to play for Montedio Yamagata. This was an exciting step, playing football in a different country! He returned to Brazil in 2001, joining Inter de Limeira.

Later Career and Retirement

After his time at Inter de Limeira, Dotti played for several other Brazilian clubs. These included Comercial-SP and União Rondonópolis. In 2004, he joined Juventude, though he mostly played for their B-team. He also played for Santo André before ending his playing career with Extrema in 2006.

Alan Dotti's Coaching Career

Starting as a Youth Coach

After he stopped playing, Alan Dotti decided to stay in football as a coach. He began by working with youth teams at Santo André. This experience helped him learn how to guide young players.

Moving to Assistant and Interim Roles

Dotti soon started taking on more senior roles. In February 2013, he became an interim (temporary) coach for Santo André's main team. He then worked as an assistant coach for several clubs, helping the main coach. These clubs included ASA, Cuiabá, and Confiança. He even had two different periods working at Confiança!

Becoming a Head Coach

In 2018, Dotti became the under-20 coach for Oeste. Later that year, he was named the head coach of ASA. This was a big step, taking charge of a team himself. He also had a brief period as an interim head coach for Portuguesa in 2019.

Recent Coaching Roles

Dotti continued to work as an assistant coach for various teams, including Ferroviária and São Bento. He also stepped in as an interim head coach when needed, for example, at Santo André in 2021 and São Bento.

From 2022 to 2024, he coached the under-20 team at Portuguesa. He helped them reach the semifinals of a big youth tournament, the Campeonato Paulista Sub-20 [pt], which was a great achievement for the club after many years.

In April 2024, Alan Dotti was confirmed as the head coach for Portuguesa's main team. He led them to the semifinals of the Copa Paulista competition before leaving the club in November 2024.
