Alan David Dotti (born on March 19, 1977) is a Brazilian football coach and a former player. He used to play as a central defender. Today, he is the head coach for the football club Água Santa.

Alan Dotti's Playing Days

Alan Dotti started his football journey playing for youth teams like Votuporanguense, Juventus-SP, and Corinthians. He made his first appearance as a senior player with Rio Claro in 1998.

In 1999, Dotti moved to Japan to play for Montedio Yamagata. After that, he returned to Brazil in 2001 and joined Inter de Limeira. He also played for other Brazilian clubs such as Comercial-SP and União Rondonópolis. In 2004, he joined Juventude, mostly playing for their B-team. He then played for Santo André before ending his playing career with Extrema in 2006.

Alan Dotti's Coaching Career

After he stopped playing, Alan Dotti became a coach. He first worked with the youth teams at Santo André. In February 2013, he got a chance to be the interim (temporary) coach for Santo André's main team.

He then worked as an assistant coach for several clubs, including ASA, Cuiabá, and Confiança. He also coached the under-20 team for Oeste.

In July 2018, Dotti became an assistant coach at Sampaio Corrêa. Later that year, in November, he became the head coach for ASA, but he left in January 2019 after just one official match.

Dotti continued his work as an assistant coach, often alongside coach Paulo Roberto Santos. He worked at Portuguesa, where he was also an interim head coach for one match. He also had assistant roles at Sergipe, Santo André, Ferroviária, and São Bento. He even stepped in as interim head coach for Santo André in 2021 and São Bento in 2021 when their main coaches were unavailable.

In November 2021, Dotti returned to Portuguesa to coach their under-20 team. He led them to the semifinals of the Campeonato Paulista Sub-20 [pt] in 2022, which was a big achievement for the club after 12 years.

On April 17, 2024, Alan Dotti was named the head coach for Portuguesa's main team for the Copa Paulista tournament. He guided the team to the semifinals of the competition before leaving the club in November 2024.

In March 2025, Dotti became the head coach of Lagarto. He stayed there until July 1, 2025. The very next day, he returned to Água Santa, this time as their head coach. He had previously worked there as an assistant coach.
