History of Albion

Albion was first settled in 1871 by Levi Reynolds. The town was officially planned out in 1883. For a while, the town was called Guy.

In 1901, its name changed to Albion. This was to honor Sir Francis Drake. He had named a larger area "Nova Albion" (New England). Albion became an official town on March 4, 1910.
