Alejandro Balde Martínez (born on October 18, 2003) is a Spanish professional footballer. He plays as a left-back for the Barcelona club and the Spain national team. Many people think he is one of the best young left-backs in the world. This is because he is very fast, good at carrying the ball, and helps a lot in defense.

Club Career Highlights
Starting with Barcelona
Alejandro Balde was born in Barcelona, Catalonia. His father is from Guinea-Bissau, and his mother is from the Dominican Republic. He joined Barcelona when he was eight years old in 2011. Before that, he played for Espanyol.
In July 2021, Balde signed a new contract with Barcelona. This contract would keep him at the club until 2024.
Moving to the First Team
Balde played very well during the summer of 2021. He became the main backup for Jordi Alba at the Camp Nou stadium. On September 14, 2021, he played his first official game for Barcelona's main team. He came on as a substitute in a Champions League match against Bayern Munich.
From the start of the 2022–23 season, coach Xavi gave Balde a bigger role. He started more league games than Jordi Alba. He also played more minutes in important matches.
First Goal and New Contract
On May 14, 2023, Balde scored his first goal for Barcelona. This happened in a game against Espanyol. Barcelona won 4–2 and secured the league title that day.
On September 20, 2023, it was announced that Balde would sign another new contract. This deal would keep him at the club until 2028.
In January 2024, Balde got a hamstring injury. He had to have surgery and missed the rest of the season.
