Playing Career
Aleksandar Vasoski was born in Skopje, which is the capital city of North Macedonia. He started his football journey playing for local clubs. The most well-known teams he played for were Vardar and Cementarnica.
From 2005 to 2011, Vasoski played for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, which is a top football league in Germany. After leaving Frankfurt, he decided to stop playing football. This was because he had many knee injuries.
Playing for His Country
Vasoski played his first game for the Macedonia national team in July 2000. It was a friendly match against Azerbaijan. He played a total of 34 games for his country and scored 2 goals. His last game for the national team was a friendly match against Montenegro in November 2008.
Becoming a Coach
Early Coaching Days
Before becoming a head coach, Vasoski worked with younger players. He was a youth team coach and helped organize things for Metalurg Skopje and Vardar.
On July 16, 2018, he became the main coach for Vardar. He led the team to win the Macedonian First League in the 2019–20 season. Vasoski left Vardar in December 2020. After that, he coached Akademija Pandev from 2020 to 2022.
Coaching Sarajevo
On January 8, 2022, the Bosnian Premier League club Sarajevo chose Vasoski as their new coach. He officially started on January 10, 2022. He signed a six-month contract, with a chance to stay until June 2023.
Vasoski won his first game as Sarajevo's coach. They beat Leotar 2–0 on February 26, 2022. On March 5, 2022, he lost his first "Sarajevo derby" game. This is a big local match against their rivals Željezničar, and they lost 2–0.
On April 10, 2022, Vasoski led Sarajevo to a big 6–0 win against Rudar Prijedor. This was the team's biggest league win that season. However, after some tough results, including a 1–1 tie against rivals Željezničar, he decided to step down as coach on May 10, 2022.
After Sarajevo, he returned to coach Akademija Pandev from September 2022 to May 2023. He then had another short time coaching Vardar in 2023. Currently, he is the coach for Sileks.
