Alexander Draper "Alex" Wolff (born November 1, 1997) is an American actor and musician. He first became known for starring with his older brother, Nat, in the Nickelodeon TV show The Naked Brothers Band (2007–2009). His mother, Polly Draper, created the show. Alex's father, Michael Wolff, helped produce the show's music albums. These albums, The Naked Brothers Band (2007) and I Don't Want to Go to School (2008), were popular on the Billboard 200 charts.
After the Nickelodeon series, Alex and Nat formed a music group called Nat & Alex Wolff. They released albums like Black Sheep (2011), Public Places (2016), and Table for Two (2023). Alex also focused on acting in movies. Some of his well-known roles include My Friend Dahmer (2017), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), Hereditary (2018), Pig (2021), and Old (2021). Alex Wolff was born on November 1, 1997, in Manhattan, New York. His mother, Polly Draper, is an actress and filmmaker. His father, Michael Wolff, is a jazz musician. Alex has an older brother named Nat Wolff, who is also an actor and musician.
Alex has a condition called Tourette's syndrome. This condition causes people to make sudden, repeated movements or sounds that they cannot control. He inherited it from his father.
When Alex and Nat were very young, they once climbed out of the bathtub. They called themselves "the naked brothers band." This fun moment later inspired the name of their Nickelodeon TV show. As a child, Alex taught himself to play the saxophone. He also learned to play the drums by watching videos of the famous drummer Ringo Starr.
