Alexandre Paes Lopes is a Brazilian football coach and a former player. He was born on October 29, 1974. During his playing days, he was a defender. A defender is a player whose main job is to stop the other team from scoring goals.
Alexandre Lopes also played for the Brazilian national team. He represented his country in the 1996 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Playing Career Highlights
Starting in Brazil
Alexandre Lopes began his professional football journey in Brazil. He played for several well-known clubs. From 1994 to 1995, he was with Criciúma. After that, he joined Corinthians in 1996. He also played for Sport Recife and Fluminense.
Playing Abroad
Lopes also had the chance to play football in other countries. In 2001, he played for Spartak Moscow in Russia. Later, in 2002, he moved to Japan to play for Tokyo Verdy. He spent two seasons there, showing his skills in the J1 League.
Return to Brazil
After his time in Japan, Alexandre Lopes returned to Brazil. He played for Internacional in 2004. His last known club as a player was Portuguesa in 2005. Overall, he played in 145 club matches and scored 10 goals.
International Appearances
Alexandre Lopes proudly represented his country, Brazil. He played three matches for the national team between 1995 and 1996. Even though he was a defender, he did not score any goals for the national team.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Alexandre Lopes became a football coach. He started coaching younger teams. From 2018 to 2019, he coached the Under-16 team at Fluminense. He then became an assistant coach for Fluminense's Under-20 team from 2020 to 2021.
Coaching Senior Teams
Lopes moved on to coach senior teams. In 2022, he coached Monsoon. He also coached the Under-20 team for Ferroviária in 2023. Later that year, he took over as the main coach for Ferroviária until 2024. In 2024, he coached Hercílio Luz. He then coached CRAC from 2024 to 2025. In 2025, he coached Uberlândia.
