Alireza Abbasfard (born 20 October 1981) is an Iranian footballer. He plays as a centre forward, which means he is usually one of the main attackers on the team. He currently plays for Naft va Gaz Gachsaran in the Iran 2nd division football league. He has also played for well-known clubs like Rah Ahan and Esteghlal.

Playing for Clubs
Alireza Abbasfard has played for many different football clubs throughout his career. He started playing professionally in 2001.
Early Career
He played for Bargh Shiraz from 2001 to 2004. After that, he joined Saipa where he played for two seasons. He then moved to Saba Battery in 2006.
Loan to Esteghlal
During the 2008–2009 season, Alireza played for Esteghlal on loan. This is when a player temporarily moves to another team. With Esteghlal, he helped them win the Iranian Premier Football League title.
Later Career and Malaysia
In 2011, he joined Rah Ahan. He played under the famous Iranian football legend, Ali Daei, who was the manager there. Towards the end of 2013, Alireza made a big move. He joined Sarawak, a team in the Malaysian Super League. This was a special moment because he became the first Iranian player to ever play in the Malaysian League.
Playing for Iran
Alireza Abbasfard also had the honor of playing for his country, Iran. He played for the national team between 2008 and 2012. He played in 3 international matches and scored 1 goal for Iran. His goal came in a friendly match against Tajikistan in 2012, where Iran won 6–1.
