Alisha Chinai's Music Journey

Alisha first entered the world of Hindi film music with the help of music director Bappi Lahiri. They created many disco hits together in the 1980s. Some of these songs were for movies like Adventures of Tarzan and Dance Dance.

When she began, Alisha sang for many top actresses. These included Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, and Karisma Kapoor. In 1985, she also sang two songs in the Konkani language for an album called Old Goan Gold. One of her biggest hits in the 1980s was "Kaate Nahin Katthe". This song was from the movie Mr. India. She sang it with Kishore Kumar in 1987. Another popular song was "Raat Bhar Jaam Se" from the 1989 film Tridev.

Becoming the Queen of Indipop
