Allegra Versace's Early Life and Education

Allegra Versace is the daughter of famous Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace. Her father is Paul Beck, an American former fashion model. She is also the niece of the well-known fashion designer Gianni Versace.
Allegra grew up near Milan, Italy, with her younger brother Daniel. As a child, she took ballet classes for nine years. She still loves ballet very much today. Her uncle Gianni helped her develop this passion for ballet. He even introduced her to a famous ballet dancer named Maurice Béjart for one of her birthdays.
Allegra's Schooling and College Years
Allegra went to The British School of Milan, which was then called "The Sir James Henderson School." She was always kept safe and protected there. After finishing high school, she went to college in the United States.
First, she attended Brown University in Rhode Island. In 2006, she enrolled at UCLA. At UCLA, she studied French, art history, and theatre.
Allegra's Inheritance of the Versace Fashion Empire
Allegra Versace was eleven years old when her uncle Gianni Versace passed away in July 1997. He was shot outside his mansion in Miami. Her mother made sure she received counseling to help her through this difficult time.
On her 18th birthday, Allegra received a very important inheritance. She became the owner of 50% of Gianni Versace S.p.A.. This is the company that runs the famous Versace fashion brand.
How Allegra Became a Major Owner of Versace
Allegra's uncle, Santo Versace, already owned 30% of the fashion company. Her mother, Donatella, owned 20%. Gianni Versace decided to leave his remaining 50% share to Allegra. This was because of a long-standing disagreement between Santo and Donatella.
Because of this, Allegra instantly became worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Even though she could have taken full control of her inheritance at 18, she chose to focus on her studies. She did not start actively working in the Versace business until she was 24 years old.
