Allegra Versace Beck (born June 30, 1986), often known as Allegra Versace, is an Italian-American heiress and socialite. She is a director of the famous fashion company Gianni Versace S.p.A. and has also worked in New York City as a theatrical dresser.
Allegra's Early Life and School
Allegra Versace is the daughter of Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace and American former fashion model Paul Beck. Her uncle was the famous fashion designer Gianni Versace. She grew up near Milan, Italy, with her younger brother Daniel.
When she was a child, Allegra took ballet classes for nine years. She still loves ballet very much today. She says her uncle Gianni helped her discover this passion for ballet. For one of her birthdays, he even introduced her to a famous dancer named Maurice Béjart.
Allegra went to The British School of Milan, which was then called "The Sir James Henderson School." After finishing high school, she studied abroad. She first went to Brown University in Rhode Island. In 2006, she enrolled at UCLA. There, she studied French, art history, and theatre.
Becoming Part of Versace
Allegra Versace was eleven years old when her uncle Gianni Versace passed away in July 1997. On her 18th birthday, she received 50% ownership of the company Gianni Versace S.p.A.. This made her worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Even though she could have taken full control of her inheritance at 18, Allegra chose to focus on her studies first. She began to take a real part in the Versace business when she was 24 years old.
