Amanda Ansell is a talented English artist, born in 1976. She is known for her unique abstract paintings. Abstract art uses shapes, colors, and lines instead of showing things exactly as they look in real life.

Amanda studied art at two famous schools. First, she went to Norwich University of the Arts from 1995 to 1998. Then, she continued her studies at the Slade School of Fine Art in University College London from 1998 to 2000.

After living in London for seven years, Amanda moved back to her home county of Suffolk in 2006. That same year, she started a special program called an artist residency at Firstsite in Colchester. This program gives artists a place to work and create new art. Also in 2006, some of her artwork was chosen to be shown at Kettles Yard in Cambridge. She was also nominated for a special award called Jerwood Contemporary Painters.
