Amanda Byram, born on June 16, 1973, is a well-known TV presenter from Ireland. She used to be a model. You might know her from popular shows like Total Wipeout and Dancing with the Stars in Ireland. She also hosted shows in America, such as The Swan and Paradise Hotel.

Starting Her TV Journey

Amanda started her career as a model. She began working in television in 1999. Her first big TV job was presenting the morning show Ireland AM on TV3. She worked alongside Mark Cagney on this show.

Her Exciting TV Career

Soon after starting in Ireland, Amanda began appearing on British television. In 2001, she was a host on The Big Breakfast on Channel 4. The next year, she was a guest host on Liquid News on BBC Three. She also presented the UK version of Entertainment Tonight on Sky One.

Working in America

Amanda later moved to Los Angeles in the United States. There, she got many TV presenting jobs. She hosted the reality television series Paradise Hotel in 2003 and again in 2008.

In 2003, Amanda hosted the Miss World beauty pageant. She also had a small role in the 2006 movie A Dog's Breakfast.

Amanda co-hosted the British game show Total Wipeout with Richard Hammond. This show started in 2009 and ran for five series. The final episode aired on December 31, 2012.

She also often co-hosted Something for the Weekend with Tim Lovejoy. She would fill in for other presenters. Later, she also filled in for Tim Lovejoy on its new version, Sunday Brunch.

In 2010, she appeared on Supersize vs Superskinny. She helped Anna Richardson in an episode about body image. On August 6, 2010, Amanda presented This Morning with Paddy McGuinness.

Amanda was a guest on the first episode of the BBC One panel game Ask Rhod Gilbert.

Live Shows and Magic Tricks

In early 2011, Amanda presented some of the Strictly Come Dancing Live! shows. These were live dance shows held in different places.

On January 8, 2011, Amanda appeared on the BBC One show The Magicians. She was part of a magic trick where she lay on a bed of nails. A motorcycle then drove over her and another magician.

In 2012, Amanda hosted a new TV show for Sky 1 HD called Don't Stop Me Now. The first episode aired on March 18, 2012.

On May 31, 2013, Amanda presented This Morning with Jake Humphrey.

Dancing with the Stars

In November 2016, it was announced that Amanda would host the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars. She hosted it alongside Nicky Byrne. The show started in January 2017 on RTÉ One. It is based on the popular British show Strictly Come Dancing. After two series, Amanda decided not to return as a presenter in 2019.

From 2019 to 2022, Amanda was a host on the show Food Unwrapped.

Her Life Outside Work

Before moving to the United States, Amanda was in a relationship with comedian Patrick Kielty. She lives in Fulham, South-west London. She was engaged to former rugby player Craig McMullen, but they split up in January 2012.

Since April 2014, Amanda has been with Julian Okines, who works in creative content. They announced their engagement in December 2015 and got married in April 2016. Amanda gave birth to their son, Phoenix, in November 2021.

Amanda is known for being very fit and healthy. She follows a strict fitness routine.
