Ambrose Lake is a cool lake located in the Algoma District in Ontario, Canada. It's a natural body of water that's part of the beautiful Canadian landscape. This lake is a great example of the many lakes found in this part of North America.

Discovering Ambrose Lake

Ambrose Lake is quite long and narrow. It stretches out for about 2.4 kilometers (which is about 1.5 miles). Its width is much smaller, only about 130 meters (or 427 feet) across.

Where is Ambrose Lake Located?

This lake sits between the huge Lake Superior and Highway 17. It's found at an elevation of about 417 meters (or 1,368 feet) above sea level. This means it's quite high up!

The lake is located roughly 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of a community called White River. It's also about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northwest of another town, Wawa.

Water Flow and Connections

The main way water leaves Ambrose Lake is through a small, unnamed creek. This creek flows into another body of water called Iron Lake. Iron Lake is part of a larger system of rivers and lakes known as the Dog River system. This shows how different lakes and rivers are connected in a big network.
