History of Amoret
Amoret was officially marked out and planned in 1890. It might have been named after the biblical Amorites. A post office has been open in Amoret since 1885. This means people have been sending and receiving mail there for a long time!
Geography of Amoret
Amoret is found along Missouri Route 52. It is about 13 miles (21 km) west of Butler. The city is just over one mile (1.6 km) east of the border between Missouri and Kansas.
A nearby stream called Mulberry Creek flows about one mile (1.6 km) to the east. It then joins the Marias des Cygnes River about 2.5 miles (4 km) to the southeast.
The city covers a total area of about 0.21 square miles (0.55 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
