Andelfingen is a lovely village and a municipality in Switzerland. It is part of the canton of Zürich and is the main town of the Andelfingen district.
Recently, on January 1, 2023, two other municipalities, Adlikon and Humlikon, joined with Andelfingen to form a larger municipality.

Andelfingen's History
Andelfingen has a long history! It was first written about in documents way back in 1248. At that time, its name was Andelfingon.
For many years, until 1970, the village was known as Grossandelfingen. This name likely meant "Big Andelfingen" to tell it apart from other places.
