Adlikon bei Andelfingen, often called just Adlikon, was a small town in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Zürich. On January 1, 2023, Adlikon joined with another town, Humlikon. They both became part of the larger town of Andelfingen.

A Look Back in Time
Adlikon is quite old! The first time it was ever written about was in the year 1255. Back then, its name was spelled Adilinkon.
Where Adlikon Was Located
Adlikon covered an area of about 6.6 square kilometers (2.5 square miles). A large part of this land, about 66%, was used for farming. Forests covered 23% of the area. Buildings and roads made up about 8.6% of the land. The rest of the area, about 2.4%, was made up of things like rivers.
The town was located south of the Thur River. It also included two smaller villages called Dätwil and Niederwil.

As of 2022, Adlikon had a population of 707 people. In 2007, a small part of the population, about 3.5%, was made up of people from other countries. Over the past ten years, the number of people living in Adlikon grew a little bit.
