Playing in College
Andrae Patterson played college basketball at Indiana University. He played for the Indiana Hoosiers team. His coach there was a very famous and successful coach named Bobby Knight. Playing in college helped him get ready for a professional career.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Andrae became a professional basketball player. He played in the NBA and also for teams in other countries.
NBA Draft and Early Career
In 1998, Andrae was chosen in the 1998 NBA draft. This is when NBA teams pick new players. The Minnesota Timberwolves picked him in the second round. He played for the Timberwolves for two seasons, from 1998 to 2000. He played in 40 games during his time in the NBA.
Playing Overseas
After his time in the NBA, Andrae moved to Europe to continue playing basketball. He played for several teams in different countries. Some of the teams he played for included Zadar in Croatia, Ricoh Manresa and Adecco Estudiantes in Spain, Ironi Ashkelon in Israel, and Panellinios and Aigaleo in Greece.
