Andre Maurice Woolfolk (born January 26, 1980) is an American former professional football player. He played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tennessee Titans. He was picked in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft by the Titans. Woolfolk also played college football at Oklahoma. He was briefly with the New York Jets.

Growing Up: Andre's High School Days
Andre Woolfolk grew up in Denver, Colorado. He went to Thomas Jefferson High School. There, he played on the football team. He was even teammates with another future NFL player, Daniel Graham. In high school, Andre was a star, making 171 tackles and catching 19 interceptions!
College Football Career
Andre Woolfolk played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. He was on the team from 1998 to 2002. In 1998, he "redshirted," which means he practiced with the team but didn't play in games. This allowed him to gain experience without using up a year of his college eligibility.
Playing Both Sides of the Ball
During his time at Oklahoma, Andre played two different positions. He was a wide receiver (catching passes) and a defensive back (stopping passes).
- In 1999, he caught 11 passes for 129 yards and scored one touchdown.
- In 2000, he had 39 catches for 573 yards and five touchdowns.
- In 2001, he caught six passes for 134 yards.
After the fifth game of the 2001 season, Andre decided to focus only on playing defensive back. He was recognized for his skills, earning "Third-team All-Big 12" honors in both 2000 and 2001. He was also part of the amazing Oklahoma team that won the national championship in 2000!
Andre's Professional Football Journey
Playing for the Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans picked Andre Woolfolk in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft. He was the 28th player chosen overall. He officially joined the team on July 25, 2003.
Rookie Season (2003)
In his first year, Andre played in six games and started two of them. He made 18 solo tackles and five assisted tackles. He also caught one interception and broke up five passes. Unfortunately, he was placed on injured reserve in December 2003. This means he couldn't play for the rest of the season due to an injury.
Second Season (2004)
In 2004, Andre played in 10 games, starting two. He had 42 solo tackles, seven assisted tackles, one interception, and six pass breakups. For the second year in a row, he was placed on injured reserve in December.
Later Seasons with the Titans (2005-2006)
During the 2005 season, Andre played in 13 games and started seven. He had 42 solo tackles, 13 assisted tackles, one interception, and seven pass breakups. He also forced one fumble and recovered another. In 2006, he appeared in 10 games, starting one, and recorded six solo tackles and three assisted tackles.
Andre was placed on injured reserve for a third time in August 2007. He was then released by the Titans later that month. Overall, he played in 39 NFL games, starting 12 of them. He finished his career with 108 solo tackles, 28 assisted tackles, three interceptions, and 18 pass breakups. All three of his interceptions were against quarterback David Carr.
Time with the New York Jets
Andre Woolfolk signed with the New York Jets on March 4, 2008. However, he was released by the team on July 30, 2008, before the regular season began.
