Andrea Desiree Lewis (born August 15, 1985) is a talented Canadian actress and singer. She is best known for playing Hazel Aden in the popular TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Andrea Lewis was born on August 15, 1985. Her parents came from the Caribbean. Her mother is from Jamaica, and her father is from St. Vincent.
Andrea's Acting Journey
Andrea started her acting career in 1998. Her first movie role was Cassandra in Down in the Delta. This film was directed by the famous Maya Angelou. The next year, she acted with Naomi Judd in a Christmas TV special called A Holiday Romance.
In 2001, Andrea appeared in a movie about singer Natalie Cole. It was called The Natalie Cole Story. That same year, she joined the TV show Soul Food: The Series as Brigette. She also began her most famous role as Hazel Aden on Degrassi: The Next Generation. She was a regular on Degrassi until her character graduated in 2006. For her role in Degrassi, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2003 and 2006. This award was for Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series.
In 2002, Andrea played Carla Hall in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cadet Kelly. Carla was the best friend of the main character, played by Hilary Duff.
Andrea also appeared in the Nickelodeon musical movie Spectacular! in 2009. She played Robin, a member of a high school choir. She acted alongside stars like Nolan Gerard Funk and Victoria Justice.
In 2011, Andrea had a small role in the musical Hairspray. This show toured around Canada.

Creative Projects and Productions
In 2012, Andrea started her own entertainment company. It's called Jungle Wild Productions. She co-founded it with Brian Walker. Their goal is to create TV shows, movies, and online content. They want to show stories featuring women, people of color, and people from LGBT communities.
In 2013, Andrea started her own YouTube channel. She uses it to share her creative work. Many of her projects on the channel focus on self-love and finding inner strength. That year, she created and starred in a web series called Black Actress. You can watch it on Issa Rae's YouTube channel. Andrea was also the creator and executive producer of a three-part series. It was called The Black Beauty Effect. This series looked at Black women who are changing the beauty industry. It featured beauty influencers like Whitney White. The series premiered in 2022.
