Andrew Greene, born on September 24, 1969, is a former professional football player. He played Canadian football for many years, mostly as an offensive tackle. An offensive tackle is a player who blocks for their teammates. Andrew played for nine seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL), spending a lot of that time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was chosen as a CFL All-Star four times and was even named the league's best offensive lineman in 2003.

Early Life and High School Sports
Andrew Greene grew up in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. He went to Pickering High School. While there, he was a talented athlete. He played football, basketball, and rugby. He also took part in track and field events.
College Football Career
After high school, Andrew went to Indiana University Bloomington. He played college football for the Indiana Hoosiers. He was a key player on the team for four years. For three of those years, he was a starter, meaning he played from the beginning of games.
Andrew was recognized as "Indiana's Outstanding Offensive Lineman" twice. In his final year, he earned top honors. He was named to the first-team All-Big Ten Conference. He also received second-team All-American honors.
Professional Football Journey
Andrew Greene started his professional career in the National Football League (NFL). He spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Joining the CFL
In 1997, Andrew joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the CFL. He played in 116 regular season games for them. He also played in nine playoff games. He even reached the Grey Cup, which is the CFL championship game.
Playing for Other Teams
On February 21, 2007, Andrew signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He started all 18 games for them that season. He played in the 95th Grey Cup with the Blue Bombers. However, they lost to his old team, the Roughriders.
On September 17, 2008, Andrew joined the Toronto Argonauts. He was added to their practice roster. At that time, he became the oldest active player in the CFL. He was released by the Argonauts on January 26, 2009.
Retiring as a Roughrider
On May 25, 2009, the Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Andrew Greene again. This was a special signing. Andrew wanted to retire as a Roughrider. The team helped him do this.
The team's president, Jim Hopson, said it was a way to thank Andrew. It showed appreciation for his many years of hard work. Andrew Greene ended his long and successful career with the team he played for the most.
