Angela Sarafyan (Armenian: Անժելա Սարաֆյան), also known as Angela Sarafian, is an actress from Armenia and the United States. She has appeared in many TV shows and movies. Some of her well-known films include Kabluey (2007), On the Doll (2007), A Beautiful Life (2008), The Informers (2008), Lost & Found in Armenia (2012), and Reminiscence (2021).
She is especially famous for playing Clementine Pennyfeather in the HBO series Westworld from 2016 to 2022.

Early Life and Beginnings
Angela Sarafyan was born in Yerevan, which was part of the Soviet Union at the time. When she was four years old, her family moved to the United States. Her father, Grigor Sarafyan, is an actor, and her mother is a painter. They settled in Los Angeles.
As a child, Angela learned ballet and played the piano. She went to Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School in Los Angeles.
Angela Sarafyan's Acting Career
Angela Sarafyan started her acting journey in 2000. She has worked in many different TV shows and movies.
First Roles in TV and Film (2000-2008)
Angela's first acting job was in a TV show called Judging Amy in 2000. She also appeared in a music video for Britney Spears' song "Stronger". Later, she had a guest role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and starred in a TV movie called Paranormal Girl in 2002. Her first movie appearance was in the comedy-drama The Last Run in 2004.
She continued to act in many TV shows like The Shield, 24, CSI: NY, and The Mentalist. In 2008, Angela got her first main role as Maggie in the movie A Beautiful Life.
Becoming More Known (2009-2015)
In 2009, Angela Sarafyan appeared in films like Repo Chick and Love Hurts. She also had a role in the TV series Eastwick. In 2010, she played Samantha Evans in the Fox series The Good Guys.
A big role for her was in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012), where she played Tia, an Egyptian vampire. She also starred in Lost & Found in Armenia that same year. In 2013, she had a small role in The Immigrant and appeared in Paranoia, a film with famous actors like Liam Hemsworth and Harrison Ford.
In 2015, Angela co-starred in 1915, a movie about a director trying to remember a difficult time in Armenian history. She also appeared in the comedy Me Him Her. Between 2014 and 2015, she was in TV shows like Blue Bloods and American Horror Story.
Starring in Westworld (2016-2022)
In 2016, Angela Sarafyan was in the historical drama The Promise. This movie was about a love story during a challenging period for the Armenian people.
From 2016 to 2022, Angela played Clementine Pennyfeather in the popular HBO science-fiction series Westworld. This role made her very well-known. Her work on Westworld earned her a nomination for an award at the 23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards for her performance with the other actors in the show.
After Westworld, Angela continued to act in films like We Are Boats (2018) and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019), where she acted alongside Zac Efron. She also lent her voice to the video game Telling Lies. In 2021, she was in Reminiscence with Hugh Jackman.
Recent Projects (2023-Present)
In 2023, Angela Sarafyan took part in a discussion about Armenian women in film. She has also appeared in recent films like Pet Shop Days (2023) and Little Death (2024). In 2024, it was announced that she would be in an action movie called G20, starring Viola Davis.
